Cozy Weekend

This weekend was a little busy but we nuzzled in some major cozy time. My husband and boys traveled to go preach out. Hannah and I stayed behind because she was finishing a play production she was in. She did so good. After the production on Saturday we got some goodies to indulge in and we indulged in Hallmark Movies. We cuddled up in the bed and watched some movies on Hallmark Movies on the internet. We don't have cable but they had a free trial for 7 days on Feeln.com (Hallmark Movies) we took advantage of it and just had a wonderful time.

Earlier in the day while I was waiting on Hannah's play to start I headed to a park to catch up for some reading and preparing for Sunday School. I popped out and took a very quick walk. I saw this bright leaf amongst all the bland leaves and twigs. It was so pretty. May I shine in a dark world and draw others to be interested in what I have in me...Jesus.

This tree had roots that stretched out forever it seemed. I want to have roots in the Lord like this. Deep, long, and strong.

I kicked off the morning with a waffle and bacon breakfast, a long walk, and coffee time with Derrick my husband.

I love Slower Paced Weekends!!

Blessings,
Chrissy

  1. It seems you made the best of a semi busy weekend. I'm longing for a slower paced weekend. I might have to do some planning to make it happen this weekend. Have a wonderful week, my friend!

    1. I really tried. I am finding I have to be super intentional about slowing.

  2. Sounds lovely. I guess you did not have to hem all your son-in-laws uniforms? I have a waffle maker just like that. When I make waffles I make a triple batch and then freeze them on a flat cookie Rhett and wrap and bag then we just pop them in the toaster!.
