Goals of the Year-2018

A Man without a vision is a man without a future. ~P.K. Bernard

Based on Proverbs 29:18..."Where there is no vision, the people will perish."

I was hesitant to share my goals. To be honest I just really didn't have a direction. But after some time I felt to set some simple goals to work toward this year.

Fast 2 times a month
Do the Fruit of the Spirit Bible Study
Pray daily

Read 12 books
1 classic, 1 bio, 1 doctrine book, 1 parenting, 1 Marriage
*I usually surpass this amount but this is my goal for this year.*

1 time a week do something out of the ordinary to bless and encourage my husband
Do our Thirty-One Day prayer book twice this year (February and September)

Set aside Weekly Time with each child individually (Especially my Senior)
Read 5 Love Languages for Teens

Walk 5 times a week ( I already do this but continue because I have gotten relaxed)
Tone 2 times a week
Stretch at least 2 times a week
Drink water daily

Serve 1 time every 3 months some place or somehow
Weekly Devotionals

Read daily aloud
Tea Time 2 times a month
2 nice field trips before May
Attend a confrence

Learn to cook 3 items from scratch and use it to replace prepackaged items
Learn ways to stock pantry (canning, dehydrating, and etc.)

Continue to stick with budget and envelope system
Save $1000 this year
Pay 2 debts off

I will be sharing how I will take action to make these goals come to pass in the next few posts.

Share your goals and thoughts!

  1. I know you aren’t a blended family, but if you could recommend a good non-judgmental one, that would be great. I don’t have any goals in the areas above other than what I just mentioned.

    1. Sorry. I meant a good non judgmental *book* about blending families. I think I’m in the adoption version of pregnancy brain.

    2. I figured. There was a book I heard about. Let me check into it.

    3. Also, what are the ages? Are you adopting them? Who have they been living with?

    4. They are 6 and 7. They’ve been living with only their father for the past four years. Menial help from grandparents and absolutely no help from bio mom.

    5. And yes, I’m adopting them only minutes after tying the knot. My lawyer thought it would be hard to find her but she got them signed over to me the nanosecond she heard from him.

    6. Also, I don't havr a blended family but I was raised in a blended family. So, I can relate to some extent.

  2. Great goals and how to accomplish them, Chrissy!

  3. Your goals seem reasonable. Looking forwarding to cheering you on as you meet them!

  4. Good goals, not extreme, you can do this.

  5. Thank for your very good article.! i always enjoy & read the post you are sharing!
