Great Ideas! Thank YOU! What about YOU?

I want to thank each of the ladies that responded to my last post.  Wow...you all gave me a lot of great ideas and some things to think about. I love the idea of hosting a theme party that benefits charities! There were so many neat ideas you shared. I am truly pondering these things.

One thing that has really come to my mind was to get back into writing. I have always wanted to write a devotional book. I also have thought on sharing my story in written form on depression with a focus on anxiety & panic disorder as well as postpartum depression.

I have been thinking of things that interest me. Here are a few things that come to my mind.

reading
writing
researching history and current events
counseling
speaking
teaching children
like trying to find ways to encourage others (Random Acts of Kindness)
learning about herbs and trying to learn to garden
food preservation
nature study
journaling
word search ( I am dorky)

I am still thinking on things I would like to learn and challenge myself to try.
I am in a different season now that my children are older and I have more time to invest in a hobby or two.

What are some of your interests and hobbies??? I would love to get some more hobby ideas?

Blessings!

  1. At the moment I am not into any hobbies, I haven't the time with HS, mowing five acres which I dislike a-lot, SS teacher, Homeless, choir, and the list goes on. I have interests but no time for them. Chrissy you should look into writing devotions. Keep adding as you go.

    2. yes, I like to draw. Watercolors is something that would interest me. Maybe this winter I will find some time for it. I love to take pictures for the blog and of my girls. I think your amazing and could do many things once you put your mind to it.

  2. I think it would be great for you to write about your trials with panic attacks and ppd. Many women probably see you as perfect and letting people know that we all suffer in some way is a big help to others.

  3. Hmmm.
    Reading is my special hobby.
I LOVE knowing I have a good book waiting for me when I have the time to snuggle, pour a cup of coffee, and relax with my book.
    Hugs!

  4. Like I mentioned in your last post I like sewing and crocheting but crocheting is my favorite. I also like coloring books which I honestly didn't think I would like. When the whole coloring books for adults idea came out, I thought it was dumb until I saw some coloring books at Dollar Tree so I thought I would buy one and some colored pencils and give it a shot. I've been hooked ever since. This was almost two years ago. It is fun and relaxing and even my husband is into coloring books.

    1. Sure thing. I believe you can take that talent that your family has that is a business and be the help those in need and do what people of Christ should do. Be the hands and feet.
